And if my dream has faded...

And if my dream has faded like a shadow,

and if I have lost joy forever,

and if I crawl through the filth of the street,

a bird with broken wings;

and if, before it blooms, the flower

in the garden of my heart has withered,

the freest song I have ever thought of

and if I know that it will never be said;

and if I have buried my very life

deep within the pain that I suffer -

how my soul is troubled

when I see the great sky,

the sea as if it were coming big,

and wiping the sand in the morning,

tells me of some familiar shore,

tells me of some life I have lived!

That's a poem of K. Karyotakis, a famous greek poet. I'm posting it because is a poem i love and i can fully relate to.

@friendlyPal5981 This is a beautiful poem. Is this a translation of the Greek poem?
