A poem I wrote this morning
Tw for panic attacks.
Something was buried in my garden. I don't know who put it there or why in the world they'd want to. It started to over grow so I cut it. It grew twice as fast so I tore it out of the ground. The next morning it had grown over everything and all my other plants had died. Eventually it grew all over my house and started to come out of drains and vents. So I moved away. Things seemed normal at first. I didn't garden anymore though I did begin to miss it. I started to settle down after a month of living there and it began to feel like home. I decorated the walls. I bought a used TV and set it up in my bedroom. Fixed a leak coming from the ceiling in the Attic. I really started to forget why I moved at all. Until my eyes slithered open this morning. Like there was a barrier around me I couldn't suck in air. I tried desperately to move my lungs but I could feel I was growing numb and couldn't move an inch. The weeds are wrapped all the way from my feet to my mouth. It fills my throat and attaches itself to every organ eventually even my brain.
It's kinda rough and a first draft but I thought it was worth sharing. I was trying to change the story from past tense to present tense but idk if it really works idk. Hope everyone is doing ok today ❤️🩹🏳️⚧️✝️
