Feel I deserved the pain, they were right,
Words of them, haunt me at night,

@Stormandshelter This is such an amazing poem. It's a big fear that we might become the same as the people who've hurt us in the past. We dread looking in the mirror afraid we might see them lurking in our eyes.
Thank you for your kind words. Sadly, I'm struggling too much but hopefully I won't see them in myself someday. I don't wish to be like them..
@Stormandshelter I think the fact that you don't want to be like them is what makes the difference. Abusers never think that way. They justify their actions or make excuses for the things they did. They lie and deny everything
