Lavendar
unassumingEyes
May 5th, 2025
There is a light wind in the garden,
I am not alone
Your eyes search, widen,
As though seeking a treasure of your own
The midday sun bothers me,
I never tolerate the heat
You sparkle like a star in your own right,
As we beat a swift retreat
And quietly, with an innocence
That reminds me of days lost behind
You whisper of the lavendars
As you slip your hand into mine
I will never see the universes,
That unravel in front of your eyes,
But it is beneath me to complain of this
When I behold your wonder, your surprise
The next day, we will return
And I will not mind the mid day sun
There will be light wind in the garden
And I will not be alone
