Saved Voicemails - My take on sentimentality

Sentimentality is...

Putting coins that a friend 

told you to "keep" in your 

little box of things.

I probably won't remember 

who its from but if I ever 

need the change it'll be like a 

final favour from an old friend;

It's never deleting my voicemails 

because no one is here forever, 

but at least I can carry 

a piece of them around in my pocket;

It's taking screenshots of messages

that made me smile or cry,

because just in case I block their number-

I'll never forget how happy they made me.
