Shadowproof

Something inside me broke when I tried to hide. 

I forced a smile despite my weariness. 

You said you got a dark side well I guess your not the only one. 

You can replay the moments back to me until I break. 

You can knock me down and expect me to get back up. 

But what if we both tried fighting what we're running from.

We won't ever fix it if we never face it. What if we can find a way to escape it.

You can't expect me to win this fight.

Walk through the void in my mind and tell me what you see. You tell me what I am. 

You are the voice that screams my name. You are the one who waits for my ruin. 

What if we can face the darkness and show it the light. 

Narrate the past and rewrite our story. 

We can let the past be the past till it's weightless.
