Slave survivor
They use your body, and use your soul,
Keeping you under their control.
now every morning I awake, I hate what I see,
the person you've made me be.
im a survivor, the one that made it through
against all odds, against everyone's expeectations,
I'm a survivor, but now I'm out here on my own.
let's not forget, let's never forget,
the stories of a thousand lives who passed
without a candle lit.
when you look into the eyes of the innocent, what do you see

Lola, this is a powerful piece of poetry and it shows how much talent you really have in so many things. Poetry is also like art. You're such a wonderful person.
