Still the Earth turns
@wintersnow4412 Hi! Hope you are well! Heard from friends so I am leaving a poem for you to read if you see this
The storm does not wait for permission
It comes how it comes
tearing at rooftops
snapping the quiet.
The trees hold as long as they can
but even the strongest will bow in the wind
The ocean does not stay calm for our comfort
It rises, crashes, pulls away
Somewhere, a shoreline is reshaped overnight
and no one is there to see it
The mountains wear down one grain at a time
even though they stand so tall, so sure
Nothing is untouched.
Nothing is spared.
And still
The sky softens when the storm has spent itself.
The tide always finds its way home.
And what breaks, in time, makes room for something new.
(Sending light and strength your way~~ sorry I didn't know how else to send this poem to you)
@eatingpopcorns
I hope you don't mind I read your poem. An excellent description of the forces around us and the cycle of time. Of acceptance of difficulty and how challenges lead to new opportunities.
