The Cure To Happiness

Ignore the sun, stay in for a while,

The crescent moon shall be my smile,

Don't laugh or joke, that's not your style,

And let the dishes stack and pile,

Night and day,

Just game away,

Ignore the bills, your mum will pay,

The basements nice, you think you'll stay,

And refuse to find another way,

Fries on your plate,

Add more to your weight,

And don't ever dare to contemplate,

About your mess, about your state,

You don't need love, you have yourself to hate,

Say hi to misery, just stop and stare

You don't need dreams, you've got this nightmare,

Your sad and down, don't dare to share,

Just accept that lifes unfair,

The cure to happiness, is not to care

@diligentShade426 This is bleakly honest and sharply rhythmic — it captures the spiral of numbness and self neglect with unsettling clarity. The rhyme lulls you in.... but the truth underneath bites. It’s raw and it resonates. Thank you for putting this feeling into words.
