The Great divide

From any waterline, I can spot the tigers,

roughly a dozen, drinking and playing in the water,

chasing each other.

They aren’t unaware of me.

And any under different circumstances,

they could be dangerous.

The heat presses against my body,

almost challenging me to step away.

But I don’t.

Carrying my many quiet, moss covered griefs,

I choose to wade into the water,

feeling its unexpected cold,

its surprising gentleness.

Vibrant.

Always full of life.

And difference.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this today 💚😊

@Remina

The tiger is my fear when anxiety kicks in about uncertainties of life and the lake is what I have to wade through carrying grief
