The quiet echo
I stand before the mirror, eyes so wide,
A reflection I wish I could hide.
Doubt whispers softly in my ear,
Telling me I’m never enough, never clear.
My heart beats fast with every word I speak,
Fearing the silence, fearing the leaks.
The cracks in my soul that no one can see,
They whisper of flaws that only I believe.
I search for answers, for signs that I’m whole,
But deep inside, there’s a void in my soul.
I ask for validation, hoping for peace,
But the answers I seek seem never to cease.
In the crowd, I feel unseen,
Like a shadow that’s lost, but never too keen.
My worth feels like a question, a constant fight,
In the silence, I wonder if I’m wrong or right.
Yet behind all the doubt, there’s a light that glows,
A beauty within that only I know.
I’m learning to see through the fog and the fear,
To embrace my worth, even when it’s unclear.

So poignantly beautiful.
The inner doubts versus the desire to hope, to try, yo look in that mirror and be happy.
The frailty of being human.
The insecurities we all face.
The battle towards acceptance!
A battle that we must never give up on.
Well written.
Thank you for sharing!

A lion-hearted write, as a dopamine of inspiration
Let me share two lines of an anonymous but great monk of our land-
My shadow cannot, frighten me
I was, I am, I will be.
