Wandering eye

Some people who date

Complain about a wandering eye

I don’t have a love

And my eyes wander forever

They see and judge me

Based on other people

Friends say

“You need to love yourself”

“Love your body”

But I love my body

Through other people

When i look

Sort of like the girls 

My wandering eye sees

But it sees everyone 

And sees someone that's better than me

Always 

“Her stomach is flatter”

“Her eye makeup is better”

“Her hair is better”

“She has more friends”

“Everyone likes her” 

“Nobody likes you”

But people do like me

Right?

My wandering eye

Doesn’t see people who support me

Or love me

So what does it see?

Me and a girl

Whos better than me

Even if all the things she has

Are the same

My wandering eye says

“She’s happier”

“She doesn’t have a wandering eye”

Because even my wandering eye 

Knows its not something to brag about

And even then

It can find someone who's better than me

“Motivation” it says

My wandering eye

Sees things that no one else can

It can find the best in everything

And can only find the worst

In me
