HI! I'm Ave! 🥹 I try to be helpful alwayssss (hence the name ✨)

I love *attempting* to learn languages, spicy crawfish, hanging out with friends and talking 💖

I am always open to listening and being there for you but I'm currently too young to be a listener (womp womp wooommppp 🎺😖)

Weaknesses: Young, *wayyy too* talkative, jealousy, family sometimes 💔

I'm kind of like a golden retriever personality and I believe in you (whether I know what I believe in or not 😘)

...See more Don’t want you to see Don’t want you to hear Bullying You cut down, deeper Everytime you strike I stare out to keep the welling The loud bangs Black dripping down my face The black that you make fun of You press “Resume game” You think it makes me better You think it prepares me for the real life No It makes me paranoid Makes me and everyone else Untrustworthy Everytime you speak its  Pain and fear but also anger You’re bipolar And whenever i try to be better I sink back down  I’m below you  Vermin Used to cry and sob Call to mom That just infuriates you I’ve learned to just let it happen You’ll get bored with prey eventually The places you strike Not just in the body Out The back, arm, leg, hands Makes more black fall The salty black from my eyes But even when you act like this I have the falling feeling Its my fault You yell and purposely scare me Manipulate others to see the worst To keep me out of the non-vermin Your “older” friends Cant have a younger like me Younger I’ve learned to stand my ground now Took me over a decade But you find more ways to strike Don’t want you to see Don’t want you to hear

...See more Too much and too little Is somehow possible I'm too much  they ask for a giraffe and get an elephant (quite literally an elephant) but too little, because they don't want an elephant No matter how hard it tries painting itself with patterns  Its not meant to have Trying to shrink itself down To have that shape No matter how unhealthy it goes It's still an elephant but nobody wants the elephant No matter how yellow it slathers on Or spots it sticks onto its sensitive skin It just ends up being an elephant With red patches where the spots went because its not meant to be  a giraffe Some people would fall for it Only unintelligent people but they get sense and leave  to see the giraffe I'm an elephant But I want to be a giraffe I got red patches under my eyes because of those brown spots I was being unhealthy Trying to be a giraffe I'm too much and too little

...See more Theres so much I need to say But it wont come out When i complain That nobody can hear me Its because I can’t say I fill conversation with babble Thats why people dont like me I have nothing to say Until it doesn’t matter And when I do its wrong Oh saying is wrong! Saying saying just saying Saying at the wrong time But how is saying at the wrong time Right When not saying at the right time Is also right So i write In these crazy lines I write  Press enter Faster faster Then press the blue button Even then I feel  Saying is wrong! Everytime I open Saying is wrong I dont even know what im doing Until the last enter click Why do I even open  If everytime I dont say Its right I’m going to stop saying Because saying is wrong But it isn’t wrong For her, with the braid and glasses Post-braces perfect teeth Beautiful bronze skin with no scar Saying is right! Its right for her With the dyed highlights And body i wish i had Real shoes and shopping Saying is wrong! For me With the dirty hair Offbrand and scarred The girl who needs to stop opening Shes the girl who needs to learn  Saying is wrong! Its only right For people who know That  Saying is wrong! For people like me.

Tears on the keyboard, crying

...See more This community where words rhyme a safe place where you could go crying tears drip on the keyboard hoping they get what I'm implying but if people are making better,  should I even be trying? I stopped caring for myself my mouth keeps going dry How do you forget to water a plant? When there's reminders all the time How I long to starve to get my body a line Where I'm not horizontal People are watching my every move, because I  already tried When everyone is sharing In these rhymes Not completely understanding Tears on the keyboard, crying

This isn't a poem

...See more I think anyone can relate to the feeling of always never being enough you always see things you cant have look in the mirror you come out of the shower happy that the condensation on the reflective wall covers your face.  I hope nobody can relate to the fear that something is wrong with you I want to be apart of something nobody understands.  This poem isn't beautiful This poem isn't powerful Its just me typing words For the hope that someone can see and feel happy for themselves,  that they don't feel the same way.  So many of you are supportive Why can't I feel it? This poem isn't amazing This poem isn't real poetry Yet here I am, in the poetry sight And others will use personification and visuals This poem is just words That are making an effort to unscramble out of my scramble brain Like headphones that still have two knots And you're too lazy to untie them why can't I bring myself to untie them.  This isn't poetry This is a foggy mirror knotted headphones,  needing supportive people there This isn't a poem

We Wear the Mask By Paul Laurence Dunbar (not me)

...See more We wear the mask that grins and lies, It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,— This debt we pay to human guile; With torn and bleeding hearts we smile, And mouth with myriad subtleties. Why should the world be over-wise, In counting all our tears and sighs? Nay, let them only see us, while        We wear the mask. We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries To thee from tortured souls arise. We sing, but oh the clay is vile Beneath our feet, and long the mile; But let the world dream otherwise,        We wear the mask!

...See more I close the cluttered closet I sigh and a cloud is over my head I can no longer be a couch-potato The couch is as gone as my positivity My sadness is all I know  The news hit me like BAM! The cloud over my head turns on the faucet The house i used to live in is as grey as ashes The hard bright red bricks are now brown as mud. My head is spinning with memory My friends are crying a lake Depression for me is an accessory Emotions are too big to make  Memories are gone It is not really that fair It was not my choice

...See more When I was 4 I learned that boys and girls didn’t mix unless they did. It never made sense but I always went with my friends When I was 5 I learned what it meant to have a crush on someone. To know that they don’t like you back. That is when I learned why sometimes boys and girls do mix.  When I was 6, I scratched myself and my brother ran to find a bandaid. This is one of the nicest things he has ever done for me.  WHen I was 8 i got baptised and made a commitment I still dont understand now. I also learned that friendship is temporary and some people leave you.  When I was 10 I “dated” for the first time. He told me he liked me and I didn’t know how to say no. Then I found out that some people aren’t always as good as they look, I left him.  When I was 11 The boy I dated bullied me. I learned people fall to peer pressure as easily as gravity takes a pin that silently hits the floor.  When I was 12 i learned that people judge as soon as they look at you and that you have to be the person they judge well. I learned that you have to be pretty and mean to be popular, i chose to be nice. I can’t be pretty When I was thirteen I stopped eating because my waist wasn’t as small as other girls. I only ate one meal a day and it was a bread roll. I learned that torture sometimes exists in the brain when you think your closest friend truly hates you. Everyones opinion mattered and I learned that I would do anything to make it a good opinion.
