Your a Child - Poem by a child once lost and forgotten.

Hey there,

Just wanted to share a little something I wrote today!

Your a Child:

Walking the streets and roaming the world.

In the lost, forgotten words, a story uncurled.

You run on the same ground, your footprints lay flat on the ground.

Your a child,

Play in the playground, because thats where friends are found.

Your a child,

Its night and its dark, so don’t make a sound.

Because monsters and ghosts might just come around.

Shut your eyes tight.

Your a child,

So don’t get yourself into the fight.

And don’t cry,

Otherwise your a baby.

Don’t scream,

Otherwise your too loud.

And maybe one day your voice will never be found.

Oh dear child,

You are lost in this bustling crowd and you ask,

“Where is your mom and dad?”

Your a child.

So draw on the page,

Crayons and pens seems so bright,

In the shapes and colours, you create your own light.

Your a child.

You stumble and you fall and learn to crawl,

And your way too small,

For a world like this.

Don’t cry,

Or your a baby.

Don’t scream,

Your too loud.

And don’t cry,

And maybe one day your voice will never be found.

Wrap your words in whispers, hold your breath.

And every time you breathe, try to breathe in all the oxygen you have left.

And let that silence remain.

Because your a child.

At least learn to count to ten,

At least learn the abc’s once again.

And don’t be afraid of thunderstorms and rain.

One day you are not a child.

Your dreams have been compiled and the world is wild.

You have lost hope in a world in fragmented and broken bits.

Your a child.
