Beautiful 🥰
I'm sorry I didn't know how to speak.
I'm sorry I didn't stand up for you.
Reach out.
Ask for help.
Tell someone how bad it was.
I want you to know, you got through it.
They were wrong.
You are enough.
You are worthy of love.
And healing is possible 🩷

sorry little child i was
i judged you with my adult thinking
but you was not adult
your thinking was as a child
with a child mind of thinking
you did your best to stay safe i now see
but that met at times giving in to the abusers
sorry that i screamed at you in judgment
as that was wrong of me
but now i understand that you only had a child mind way of thinking
so for me to look back to self as a child judging you was so very wrong of me
so i see now that my child self could not do what i would now do
healing for you is coming it coming with hard work
all of me the ones stuck and the ones who not
but you my self as a child need understanding and love
not judgment at all

truth what helped a lot was learning the stages of development from birth up it helped to show me the different of way human think, acted etc. at each stage in life so in that saw how could not judge the child me by using what i know now due to as child i did not know same ways to think and acted wish more people would learn this as it very helpful and mind opening

I'm sorry, little one...
I never realized you carried hopelessness.
I thought it was all normal,
But for someone so young, everything surrounding you was so abnormal.
Misunderstanding, lack of worth, and loneliness...
You carried so much weight at such a young age.
Your only friends were a pencil and a page.
Writing words that conforted you,
Letting yourself be indulged in this fantasized world that felt so true.
@MentalHealthMatters01 This is so raw and so beautiful, I find myself relating a lot to this.🥹 Thank you so much for sharing. 💖 I can feel how much words became a home and grounding in all you carried. 💖

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! Yeah, poetry was my safe space back then. It made me express things I wasn't able to express to the people around me. Now it's a space for me to reflect and show off my creativity with words that rhyme.
Have a wonderful day! 💜
