A Bump in the Road

I don’t like that I had to grow up,

I don’t like that my life isn’t as cool as my friends

And that I’m just a backup friend.

I hate that I feel insane,

Unheard,

Silenced,

I hate how numb I feel,

And I don’t like to feel dumb but right now I do.

I hate when people come to me with their problems,

only to push away mine,

I hate being smart at one thing,

Then to feel stupid doing something else.

I hate being a bump in the road,

that no one wants to fix.
