I think i can write poetry
I used to write poems
now I just bleed on my pages
I take a deep breath in
And blow out my thoughts
I
Whats happening..
My darkness seems contagious
I touch the ink
I write
I write
Yet the blankness of the page blinds me
@giggleBubbles6722 This is raw and deeply moving. The imagery of bleeding onto the pages and being blinded by their blankness captures the struggle of expression so powerfully. I love how it feels like a conversation between creation and emptiness—pain and poetry intertwined. Your words hold so much weight... even in their quiet sorrow. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for reading!
Rereading is making me feel disconnected to my own words
@giggleBubbles6722 Of course! It’s interesting how rereading can sometimes make us feel distant from what we once poured onto the page—like the emotions belonged to a different version of us. But that, in itself, is a testament to growth, even if it feels strange. Your poem still holds its power!
AI gave it an 8/10 lol so i had to share. Havent written in more than a decade. I have to be honest its nice sharing this part of me again so i appreciate the engagement
@giggleBubbles6722 That’s amazing! An 8/10 from AI is solid, but honestly, the emotion and depth in poems are beyond any rating. I can relate to that feeling of writing as a coping mechanism and rediscovering writing after being in a hiatus. Also, " after a decade away "... it’s incredible that you’re reconnecting with this part of yourself—your words definitely deserve to be shared. Keep writing and I’m glad to be part of the journey!
