Living
If, because, why, how and when, unless, or rather than.
An armada of arguments blockade the ocean.
Motion mired in muddled thoughts disguised as cautious plan.
Not without bated breath, nor soul of trepidation,
Ovation is the tide that raises or pulls under.
Thunder echoes the heart that reaches for elation.
Gather up my aspirations, pack them with my hope.
Interlope in my own life, I'll not believe again.
Vain the effort to re-chain, for dreams shall be my trope.
I may stumble, I might crawl, through blood and tears and sweat.
Net of safety left to fall, embracing the unknown
Grown yet growing endlessly yet never to forget.
Upwards, onwards, effort spent and with each trial renew.
Please treat me kindly and with patience as I the same for you.
@BastionKnight 👏👏👏 just amazing 💖 you write with such heart and beauty💖 whatever life throws our way with patients we can make it through💖 I hope your being patient with your healing my precious knight 💖 hugs you tightly 💖
@Tinywhisper11
You always say the most lovely things Tinywhisper. You have such a huge heart, and I truly appreciate every message you take the time to send to me (as I am sure the many others you have treated with such consideration also must feel to). *Returns the hug carefully so as not to squish the Tiny one*
@BastionKnight
You are not broken by this season,
only being shaped
by time, by trials, by truths
that reveal your strength
when all else falls away.
Let each breath be a small defiance,
each tear a seed of healing.
What bends you now
may one day bloom
resilient, radiant, whole.
Hold on.
Not because it’s easy,
but because
even the darkest soil
can cradle the first light of spring.
@BastionKnight I felt every line, Knight. The way it carries both the weight of struggle and the quiet strength of hope. The way it moves from mental entanglement to a plea for kindness is so deeply human. The poem feels both personal and universal, like the inner monologue of someone learning to breathe again. Truly beautiful.
@BastionKnight
I may stumble, I may crawl---
And yet, I still continue on, at a pace that suits, at a pace that soothes, at a pace that is mine 🥰💜
@Amanda84
I am so sorry for my delayed response *Hangs head in contrition*
Keep moving at your measured stride most excellent Amanda, and may it continue to soothe. And maybe at that rate of movement, perhaps it allows you to enjoy the scenery all the more as you glide past. Happy trails across life's paths. *Smiles*
@BastionKnight
Apologies not needed 🥰
Yes, I will continue the happy glide through life 💜
@BastionKnight This was beautiful and I enjoyed reading this. Thank you for this. 🤗
