Oh That Dark Cloud of Mine

This little dark cloud of mine, she hollowed me
Everywhere I would go, she followed me
From work to home, from day to night
There she was blocking out the light
Couldn’t get rid of her, couldn’t really complain
With her I was never alone, comfort in her rain
More to her than I knew, more than meets the eye
Heart in her dark shadow I just had to reach inside
Had to embrace her darkness to get to the other side
A world of beauty and light was there this whole time
She wasn’t a dark cloud, she was the silver lining
Really, I was the dark cloud that needed some shining
The sun is here now I can shed all this doom
I can open up to the world now, allow my heart to bloom

That's beautiful, writing, and imagery. It's a wonderful example of how our perspective and thoughta can cloud the truth. Or at least that how I saw it???????
