The Key to Reality
I thought I'd take a crack at writing some poetry. I chose logic and reasoning as my subject as I love it. I believe it should be taught from an early age. I haven't done this since high school so forgive me if I'm rusty.
To see the light in darkness
With tools of thought alone
Requires a certain harness
To set the proper tone
Without it, clarity decays
It withers, warps, and strays
The mind still turns its wheels
But loses all appeals
Logic and reason
An engine of truth
But without fuel
It stalls in its youth
To wield such power
One must see
The heart of truth
Is honesty

Hey thanks! Means a lot. I've fallen in love with poetry, I want to write more, but I let it happen naturally.
You have a talent too, for demonstrating your kindness. It's not always easy to be open and honest about your feelings. There are nice people out there that want to speak their truth but can't find the words. Never fall into silence, it would be a tragedy.
