ray of light

i sit by the fire. waiting for something to happen, anything would be fine

you stare, azure eyes as deep as the ocean. they flutter this weak heart of mine

this peace i dream of, this love. so pure and innocent

i imagine as i lay on the grass, the moon pierces. it leaves a dent

we sit by the river, lord knows when we'll go back home

far far away, that safe place no one will find us, underneath the big dome

your laugh, as fresh as the sunlight. it brightened up my whole world

love of mine, bring me joy with just one word

i sit alone, as the ghost of you passes by my mind

take me with you, then i would to joy, i will no longer be blind

this view, it's never complete without our endless chatter
