February Leader of the Month: MrJacob!

What roles or projects are you involved in on 7 Cups?
I am the Support Room Mentor / Team Leader for Positivity Corner & Compassion Corner. Projects I am involved in include Mentoring, Global Modding, Discussion leading and writing, and the many other things that seem to come into my PM's.
What is your favorite 7 Cups memory?
This question makes me chuckle. I can't be very descriptive, however, I have been able to become friends with our Group Support Ambassadors and our Community Management & Safety Teams! We all have many stories of supporting each other, and making each other laugh especially when a good laugh is needed.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be a private practice Licensed Clinical Social Worker (therapist). Or to continue to work with people in low income neighborhoods and provide them with the basic necessities. At one point or another, most people will need a social worker in one form or another. If I can help someone through their hardest point in life at least once in my life, I know I have made an impact.
If you could give one tip to a brand new listener or member what would it be?
One tip I would give a brand new listener would be to remember why you came, and why you are here. At one point or another, everyone gets discouraged or sad, or has had a really rough chat. It is times like this which allow you to reflect, and realize that you are making a difference in peoples lives, with each 1-1 interaction, each peer support, every minute in a discussion or chatroom.

Super super congratulations @MrJacob! Though I've only interacted with you a few times in LSR, along with the roles you have, you've never ceased to always strive to do more (in a good way of course). What I've loved with your answers, is the one about a tip for a brand new listener 'remember why you came, and why you are here', since I feel it's something we forget over time, whether as a starting listener or along the way in our listener journey. I hope it's something others can remember and keep in mind.

Huge congratulations to you @MrJacob! I always see you around in the LSR and making people laugh and I think that's one of the things that makes you adorable! I'm also thankful for you for being so helpful especially in the merging of M&SH and A&G! We appreciate all your effort and hard work, they never go unnoticed. And I personally love your answer, it's always important to remember your why!
