Got Questions?? Got Answers? Ask and Answer Here
HELLO LOVELY 7 CUPS USERS!
The Questions and Answers portion of this site has been integral to the 7 Cups community for a very long time; yet many people are unaware of this service and it's benefits or are unsure how to use it. I am leading a truly amazing team who work very hard to approve your Questions and Answers on this site. So now, we are all here to participate in answering your questions about the Q & A! First, a few basic answers to common questions:
What is the purpose of our Q & A section?
In Q & A, you can find questions under several categories, ie: Depression, LGBTQ+, College Life, MANY more - that have been answered by your peers and approved by our Q & A Team. Upvote the most helpful answers to show us what you want to see! You can also submit a question for approval if you don't find your question already there or submit an original answer if you want to help others. In addition to helping the community, the Q & A draws new people to 7 Cups when anyone does a web search for specific questions that are posted here.
Where do I find the Q & A Section?
The most common place to find this section is under the 'Community' tab, labeled 'Questions & Answers'. You also can find random questions under your 'Progress Path' and the Q & A link at the bottom of several areas of 7 Cups.
How do I submit a question?
You have the option on the Q & A page to 'Search Questions or Ask New'. Type in your question and a list of similar questions will pop up. If your question is nothing like any you see, you may submit your question for approval. Please be original! For example: If your question is 'How do I get along with my sister?' and 'How do I get along with my brother' is already approved, it is considered a duplicate. Try not to ask a question that can be answered with 'yes' or 'no'. Please do not ask questions about Listener or Member issues or anything about the site that can be answered in our FAQ section. Refrain from asking questions that should be answered by your physician. Please use good grammar and spelling - we can edit questions but prefer to use your own words! Approved questions earn +20 cheers and can be asked under your screenname or anonymously. Avoid using forums to ask Q & A questions as our team is not related to the forums.
How do I submit an answer to a question?
If you are randomly answering questions from your 'Progress Path', simply type in your answer. If you are in the Q & A section, select a question and you'll see an opportunity to answer that question. Try to go over previously approved answers to make sure you aren't duplicating! Please be thorough and supportive. Approved answers must contain at least 100 characters but please avoid long, drawn-out answers as well. References to off-site pages or contact information will not be approved. Listeners, please don't put 'message me' in your answers. All questions and answers are assigned a number that keeps you anonymous to the Q & A Team. All approved answers earn +15 cheers and appear on your profile page UNLESS you answer anonymously. Please use proper grammar and spelling. This is VERY important! Chatspeak (Using 'u' for 'you' for example) is not allowed. Our team cannot make any changes to edit your answer for spelling or grammar. A small mistake in a very good answer is taken into consideration, but several in one answer cannot be approved. Remember, we want everyone who benefits from your answer to see it as professional, caring and understandable!
So now that you have the basics, my team and I would like to welcome you to use the Q & A! We also invite you to use this page for further questions about Q & A. Please feel free to pm me- @RumpleSteeleSkin or @Laura

Hi there, I answered two or three questions from my homepage but I don't know where I can find them. Is there any way we can look at the questions we have submitted, or do we just have to search for them in Q+A? I'm not sure how long they take to be approved, but only one of mine has been approved so far and I don't know if the others are in limbo or rejected. I'm curious because I put a lot of time and effort into my responses and I want to make sure that I'm not making any mistakes that will invalidate that time. I also want to be sure that I'm using my time at 7cups in the best way possible. :)
Thank you very much!
@earlymorningcoffee
HI Coffee thank you for asking these questions. Also thank you for answering some of the community's questions! Right now there is no way of keeping track of the questions we ask or answer. But.....that gives me an idea to shoot it to the tech team on. Woohooo
I'm sure you did very well on answering some of the questions. If they are approved they will show up on the page under your badges. But we do not tell someone if it was approved or rejected and go looking. We just do them as they come. Please keep supporting on asking questions or even answering them. We are still finding ways to improve this team
Why dont they give refunds
Why is there no phone call to call ??
Are listeners taught to not respond if they dont know how to help someone? A few times Ive gotten a listener (different ones) and Ive poured my heart out, and theyve never responded again after the initial ‘hello. Incredibly discouraging and disappointing. Makes me feel like my problems are too severe for an answer!
@azureDay2577
HI Azure thank you for asking this. Listeners are not "taught" weather to answer or not answer a pm. They have a choice on doing whichever they can at that time you send them a message. aaww I am so sorry that you sharing things with listeners and no responce was given. hugz<3 Can I suggest that when you look for a listenr that when you both finally do a greeting and stuff ask them 1. Is this a good time we can talk together? 2. If this isn't a good time can we set a time that we both can talk? 3. I am a person that likes to share things-is it ok I send you some messages knowing it's not our time to talk? I hope this will help you in finding a great listener Azure
@RumpleSteeleSkin thank you for the tips! I will definitely try them
@azureDay2577 yes Im very sorry that you have experienced that, it could be that they are full on people to help or they arnt huge on professionalism. I hope you can find a great listener soon!
I have gotten the same response. I think it is somewhat normal to not always know what to say. Sometimes people
I feel sad
How do I know when Im happy

Is there an easy way to find our questions and/or answers without needing to memorize the question/answer to search for it?
