Amor Fati: How to Apply This Philosophy to Your Life
“Amor fati is a philosophy of living that seeks to embrace life with all of its ups and downs, all of its beauty as well as flaws. Amor fati encourages us to love and accept all the twists and turns of life.
Amor fati is just a different way of looking at everything. The word “fati” means fate, the idea that events are predestined to happen. So, when things don’t go your way, amor fati thinking can remind you not to give way to negativity. Amor fati encourages you to fully embrace your fate, whatever it brings.”
How to Apply Amor Fati to Your Own Life Philosophy
- Stop resisting your current situation.
- Reframe difficult situations as opportunities.
- Find the lessons in every obstacle.
- Breathe deeply and dig into the present moment.
- Cultivate positivity.
- Check in with yourself often.

✨Discussion: Life isn't always easy. However, even a meandering route can sometimes take you where you need to go. Amor fati, an useful philosophy that dates back to antiquity, can assist you in letting go of things that don't benefit you. Amor Fati teaches you to accept and handle whatever occurs with grace.
You can focus your efforts on going forward toward all the wonderful things that are intended for you rather than dwelling in regret for the past.
✨Reflection: What’s one way you can implement Amor Fati into your life

I completely agree. What this philosophical approach reminds me of acceptance in therapy. It is good to accept the things we can't change. On the other hand we shouldn't confuse this with disapointment which means not trying to change anything because it seems pointless.
It's important to try hard and be determined for things we really want. However, if we can't pursue them this doesn't mean it is our fault. There are thousands of other reasons so we try as much as we can.
If this doesn't work we are still able to find alternative ways to achieve similar results to our original goals.
Example
Original goal: Someone tries very hard to be a doctor but it seems impossible due to the competition and the high cost of education
Alternative: Decides to join a volunteering team to vaccinate people in third world countries
