Peace and light my beloved Cupsters ✨️ Below is a quote I came across that I thought the Cups community would enjoy. I invite you to read and then reflect:

1. What is your understanding of this quote?

2. Do you agree or disagree with the author's point of view? If you disagree, what alternate healthy suggestions would you give the reader in regards to not letting their feelings consume them?

3. If you agree, what are some healthy steps you believe would help towards allowing yourself to "feel what you need to, and then let it go"?

🌺@SirenOfSerenity

Hello!

I love the quote!!

To me it means to be mindful.

So, I think mindfulness, introspection, and self-compassion will go a long way <3

Thanks for sharing!🌿🌺

Thanks @innateJoy9602 :D Mindfulness is something I'm definitely working on specifically for this

@SirenOfSerenity Hey :)

To me is mean to feel what ever you feel at the moment - if your angry or sad or whatever - acknowledge it and feel it and release it. Don't hold onto it

Oh I agree whole heartedly with it. Its just not that easy though

Its a work in progress here. Something I struggle with alot tbh. I can only feel things for a short amount of time before they get shut off. Except for anger - that is there alot lately. Guess I can try being more mindful

@mytwistedsoul I relate so much to this, with anger my mind will repeat the situation even after it's over which pretty much forces me to acknowledge it. It's definitely not easy, but it's a journey of growth and a harmonious well-being 💙 I just subscribed over at the Mindfulness Center sub community so I can get more self disciplined with practicing Mindfulness.

@SirenOfSerenity With practice I guess like other things it gets easier

I was wondering - and you don't have to answer of course - but do you also struggle with identifying emotions and do you wonder if it's the right way to feel?

@mytwistedsoul

For me personally, I've been practicing meditation so that I get to the root of my emotions. That way it doesn't branch into even more uncomfortable emotions

I like the quote but it’s hard to put into practice in the middle of an anxiety attack.
