Self-Care Practices To Stay Sane In The Digital Age
“The world is changing faster than we can make sense of. Most of us have been alive from the time when mobiles were a luxury. Now not owning mobile phones is socially unacceptable.
Back in the day, we wouldn’t get to see our relatives’ wedding photos; thanks to Instagram and YouTube, we can be a part of anyone’s wedding broadcast despite not getting invited.
The world has gone uncontrollable. Information is everywhere, even in places it’s not supposed to be

✨Takeaway: The digital era has pros and cons. We seek for
connection, affection, and attention on social media because we crave it. You
need to prioritize loving yourself and develop a closer bond with yourself than
you do with your phone. We have the option of making it either work for us or
against us. The effects of the digital age are manageable if you can
blissfully appreciate solitude and me-time.
✨Reflection: Can you stay alone in a room without your phone?

@innateJoy9602 Oooh good question! I always have this need to have my phone close by because I use it all day, every day and it's probably not great. I always like to have to near me. I always seem to find myself just scrolling on the feed without actively reading anything and I think it's an awful habit. I really love the "don't compare yourself to others" piece. That's one of the worst parts of social media in my opinion. Thank you for sharing!
@innateJoy9602 That's a huge topic but in general our brain is not evolved to realize the numbers of people behind social media or the severity of something spoken through a chat. For example, it's really hard to tell someone's tone of voice or intentions through text. It is crucial to learn how to set boundaries in the online world and make sure to find multiple ways of communicating with people to avoid misunderstandings. Thanks for the post!
