"You have to make the choice. No one wants to get hurt, but when someone is not acting in accordance with their integrity or the greater good of all involved, then the forces of doubt, manipulation and fear can take over in a very disgraceful way!

When you are kind to yourself while being kind to others, healthy balance can be found for you; the empathetic soul. How wonderful if we all spoke to each other out of kindness and did random acts of kindness as part of our spiritual practice.

Kindness appears in our lives when we least expect it. A simple gesture of self-care and the unspoken gift of flowers or words written on a card sent across miles to reach a person who may be suffering can sometimes be one of those random acts I'm talking about. The smallest kind gesture that can change an entire person's perspective in seconds!

People these days are feeling forgotten and unseen. They are talking and not being heard. Perhaps just hearing an elder talk about their lives is kindness to them that will help them not feel alone or separate from the world. When we display these acts, we gain a lot of wisdom about how we want to be treated.

Be the kindness you would like to receive. It's easier to give than to receive what my mother used to say and I've learned that to be true. Allowing another to do a kindness for you is also a blessing for the giver. The gracious act of allowing a person to give or do something special to you is important to this fast-paced, ever-changing world we live in. Time is here and now is gone."

*Being kind to others doesn't have to be this humongous project that takes weeks to plan. A small act can be plenty to make someone's day! Holding the door open for someone or just sending a smile to someone you see in the stores are little things that can make a huge difference. It's so important to just be conscious of others because we are all going through something that isn't visible on the outside. You never know how someone is feeling or what may be going on at home. What can you do today to spread kindness?💖*

@fruityPond7887 Kindness is what gives our life hope and meaning. I totally agree to all you've said. At the end of the day, what's truly meaningful is what we've done for others. If everyone knew how to be kind and set boundaries, this world would be ideal. I'm hoping that as the years go by, people will become more and more kind. Thank you for the great post!

@calmDew1576 You're so right! Our world needs kindness right now with everything going on. I think that's one thing that came out of the pandemic. Everyone was going through similar situations, so I think people spread a little bit more kindness and the world felt a little bit closer together!💛

@fruityPond7887 Thank you for sharing this post! I believe kindness is so important for a well-functioning society. Just think how amazing life would be if everyone was practicing kindness and showing more empathy? I think kindness should start within ourselves before we can show it to others.

@comfortableNight4463 You're right! It's like that saying where we can't fill others' cups if ours isn't filled first. Thank you!❤️

@fruityPond7887 Yes! Like the saying we shouldn't put ourselves on fire to keep others warm.
