An Interview with a 7Cups Project Agent

What is a Project Agent?

There are several tracks of Project Agents here at Cups: Listener Chatroom Project Agents, Sub-community Project Agents, and 7 Cups Academy Project Agent (which has 4 tracks within itself!). I am a Listener Chatroom Project Agent for the LSC (Listener Sharing Circle) and LCI (Listener Check In). Overall, as a Project Agent I make sure that our Listener rooms remain engaging, inclusive and fun to join: And hopefully enjoyable enough to have them return and enjoy interacting with their fellow Listeners. My core roles are outreaching and recruiting hosts, checking in to make sure they are well in their role and well in general. I also work with the team leaders to plan, propose and implement changes based on feedback!

How long have you been in that role?

I started as a Project Agent around 2 months ago with LSC through the introduction of a new Listener Sharing session that was created: The Evening Talk Show! This week I began the Project Agent responsibilities of both LSC and LCI as a whole.

What is your favorite part about being a Project Agent?

I enjoy very challenging, impactful, almost secretarial style of working when on a team. I love keeping up with the Google sheets, Google docs, having input on the changes or improvements. I love to support the Listener side as much as the Member side because I want to show fellow Listeners that it's safe (and fun) to collab and interact with their fellow Listeners.

How did you become a Project Agent?

A team leader reached out to me after about a month of consistent and enthusiastic LSC hosting, I was a new Listener but came in from the beginning of my journey looking to meet fellow Listeners and thought the sharing circles were a genius way of connecting and de-stressing together. It made me not only want to host more but to help the leaders who made the sessions possible.

Are you a sub-community Project Agent or are you a Project Agent for a team?

I'm a Project Agent in the Listener Chatroom Track for both the LSC (Listener Sharing Circle) and LCI (Listener Check In) branches.
