Comforting Reads
Reading can be a really great comfort and escape. I know that at many difficult times in my life, books have been there for me, like a dear friend who offers a calm space or a fascinating world. I love talking about books and how they have meant a lot to me.
What books do you feel have really been there for you? It could be one book or a few, the kind that makes you feel all warm inside when you think about it. And what about the book/books to you remember most?

@HeartyAlly When I was young, I used to really love the Mary-Kate and Ashley books, like ‘Two of a Kind’ and ‘So little time’ series.
What about you? Do you have any books that you remember enjoying a lot? Or still do?
@HollowBlack @HollowBlack Hey there, oh, those books must be so nostalgic! A really different and magical time back then, I remember enjoying the Hannah Montana books. Currently, though, I think some books that have meant a lot to me and stood out are: Joy: The happiness that comes from within by Osho, Staring at the Sun by Irvin Yalom and Duma Key by Stephen King. Thank you for asking! These books just taught me a lot and gave me perspective. And Duma Key is probably my favourite Stephen King book so far.
@HeartyAlly
Hi. I can definitely relate to what you said. Books are that happy place that are always there for you no matter what is happening around you.
Often, when I find myself feeling down about something, I'll remember what book I'm in the middle of reading, and it instantly makes everything seem that much more manageable.
It's fun knowing that I have this adventure I can sink my brain into at the end of the day!
They offer an escape, as you said, and an immense sense of comfort.
Books that have always given me that cozy feeling are any by Marissa Meyer. I just adore her fairy-tale retellings and her romantasy books. I think fantasy books just have that cozy charm.
I also LOVE the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Definitely gives very cozy fantasy vibes as well.
Happy cozy reading, everyone!
