I just noticed I haven't read in quite a while lol, but I think Airborn by kenneth oppel, and the whole trilogy is one of my all time favorites. Aristotle and Dante Discover the secret of the world is also really good, I read most of it in one night where I couldn't sleep!
The Client by John Grisham is my Favorite book of all time.

"All Creatures Great And Small" by James Herriot.
This is a wonderful book by a British veterinarian and how he becomes a rural vet to the townspeople and the farmers. It's a great life affirming story about the life of a vet and the people and pets he interacts with through his career in the early 20th century.
