Can't decide what to write

So long story short, I've been plotting and working on my memoir for a while, and I'm getting back into. The problem I'm having now is that throughout the memoir, I reference the fictional story I've also been working on. Technically it's not really necessary for people to understand the story, but I'm still kind of like "would people be curious about it? do people need to see it to understand the references I'm making??? Or is it just my thoughts about it are important?"

Ugh, I just don't know!
