Can't figure out what to write first

hey guys, I need an opinion...

so I've been wanting to write out this fanfic idea for a while, right? But right now I have inspiration for my memoir, which I've been focusing on. I was going to put the fanfic on the backburner, but then I started thinking, like... I keep referencing it and the story throughout the memoir. Like for back when I was roleplaying, and then later when I was drawing the animatics and whatnot, so now Im like "should I make the fic and publish it just so people can read it and be like "OH thats what she was talking about!"?? Or is it just that my FEELINGS at the time, or the fact that I'm creative the only thing important to my history?""

... does that question even make sense fjdbhsbdjdnsjsnd

To clarify, the memoir is what's actually important. It touches on a lot of societal and cultural issues in our country I honestly think people need to take a closer look at, and is the one I'm most excited about. But again, with how important the fanfic was to me, I'm trying to figure out if it's necessary for people, or if it's just something I should talk about in the memoir as "something that took up my free time and passions".
