It was never enough for her. So many paths she taken, so many mountains she claimed, all the caves she discovered, it was never enough.

There was still this wanting, this yearning which would never get fulfilled.

She basically did travel around the world, but wasn't able to feel its, finally enough.

There was nothing that answered her urges of adventure, a curse which was going to be forever with her- she thought.

So, hopeless, depressed, angry, frustrated and overwhelmed, she gave up.

In a small village where no one knew her, she stopped her nomad life and ranted a cottage.

As she has expected, the wanting didn't go away, it got worsen.

She wasn't able to stand still anymore, from keep moving her feet to turning nonstop in her sleep.

Her sleep was chaotic, her used to be dreams, was now nightmares of her, being in chains locked away.

Her soul was exhausted, yet over technically, nothing.

No one would've understand her Pain, there was no point in reaching out, in her opinion.

Sometimes she would cry here and there, sometimes she would just sit by her window, watching the old leaves falling from trees, wasting; just like her life.

Little by little, she lost her interest in almost everything.

Day by day, the walks in nature and her other hobbies became more and more unspottable, she would just lay down on her bed and sink in her depression thoughts, which yet again, weren't real.

She wasn't sure what was generally the source of problem, it was just some stupid travels, their absence in her life shouldn't have this huge impact on her right?- the would tell herself.

Whatever was the reason, little by little she didn't care anymore.

Days turned into weeks, weeks into moths, and moths into seasons.

Finally, it was winter's time to take over the nature.

She dearly hated the winter, how he roughly would take most flowers away, the fevers she would usually catch, her feet being always cold, and most hated, the silence that would take over the place.

The snow was too quiet for her liking.

Despite all the pains, tears, frustrations, and all, she found something one day in her cottage's entrance, a beam of hope.

There was a little bird, probably falling from his nest somehow near.

She picked up the little baby bird, he was shivering in cold.

She took the bird with her in her arms and sat near the fireplace.

Days pasted, she raised the bird, they become great friends.

She named the bird, Leo. Because his colorful feathers were yellow & orange, similar to a lion's coat.

Too distracted by Leo's funny sounds or failed attempts to fly, she didn't noticed that the cruel yearning of adventure wasn't so unbearable anymore.

She had become more calmer, when Leo wouldn't leave her side, she would have feel, fulfilled.

She would have never expected that helping a small soul, would bring her so much ease.

She wasn't aware at first, but she slowly begon to realize the changes, to see how she was motivated again, happy again.

That day, when Leo was strong enough to live by himself, when she opened the window for him to start his journey, she felt something.

A spark of light, a voice in the back of her head.

Something calling her, like an unfinished business.

That day she realized, she was born to help others. Traveling around the world, wealth, hobbies, nothing was enough for her, was for her.

It all will be pointless one day, but the amount of help she offer, and her love to her family, will be forever with her.

Lysa, the girl who saved a little bird, made a decision.

she wasn't sure how, when, but she know she has a purpose, there is something she has to do.

On that day, she began the path of help, unaware of spectacular things that awaited her.

The end.

@NobleSeeker

Thank you for sharing.

It shows the beauty, and the wonder of life can still be found and experienced once we seek it and find our purpose. The bad times don't need to be permanent 💖💜
