@BlatantHonesty Oh this quote reminds me of another quote that my dad always says- "Don’t give pearls to a pig" which is actually from the Bible — “Don’t cast your pearls before swine.”
There’s another one he loves to use- “Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle, his folly will not leave him.” But he says it like - There's no use in grinding a fool in a mortar with a pestle.
Yeah... he reads the Bible mostly to drop punchlines during arguments.
And honestly? The Bible has some seriously cold lines. Another personal favourite, though not a Bible verse - "Never wrestle with a pig, they love playing in the dirt".... like there is no use in arguing with stupid people, they actually love their folly.
@azurePond Also, Euripides is love! He gave voice to the unheard....especially women, non - nobles and outsiders in a time when most literature celebrated heroes and gods. Medea is one of my favourite characters of all time - a true representative of female rage!
