Reading and writing

I'm a true bibliophile. I've said multiple times I want to be buried with my books. I've always loved books but didn't become a compulsive reader until after high school. Now it's one of my greatest passions. An ultimate escape. I must say the prices of books aren't appropriate. I develop more emotional attachments to characters than real life people. Then there's writing. I started to write poetry in 5th grade. Today my main inspiration is Anne Sexton. Her complete works are always in my physical reach. This year I branched into fiction. Working on a novella. And a poetry collection. I'm most miserable when I'm too depressed to read or write. Losing reading ability is a big enough red flag I require hospitalization. I don't watch TV anymoremore. Except a little Netflix on my laptop. Various writers are heroes to me. I even made my college major literature. There's beauty in words and language. I look forward to many more years of reading and writing and publishing more work. I'd love to reserve a room at Yaddo and work.
