Your Favourite Literary Characters!
Hello everyone! I really hope you are doing well <3
Today I have a few thinking questions for my fellow book-lovers! :)
1) Who is one of your favourite literary characters?
2) What are some of their traits and/or quirks?
3) What makes them one of your favourites?
@LoveMyMoonflowers
Hi Ni! I love this idea ♡ would love to hear your responses to the questions as well!
1) Who is one of your favourite literary characters?
One of my favorite literary characters would have to be Luz from When Light Left Us by Leah Thomas.
2) What are some of their traits and/or quirks?
Luz is chaotic and alien, he takes over and makes bad choices. His questionable advice and mysterious air are the traits that sets him apart.
3) What makes them one of your favourites?
He is my favorite because although he makes bad choices, he is compelling and unique. Luz brought me into the story, and a whole new world!
Who is your favorite literary character?

Hello Vi! Thank you so much for this lovely response <3 'When Light Left Us' sounds like an interesting book :0 defos going to check it out! :)
Awh haha, Luz sounds similar to one of my favourite literary characters as well. And that's relatable, I think the compelling, unique characters are the ones that really get our attention!

1) Who is one of your favourite literary characters?
One of my favourites would definitely be Janner Wingfeather from 'The Wingfeather Saga.'
2) What are some of their traits and/or quirks?
Janner is a pretty quiet, curious individual who really loves books. He's quite brave and selfless, even though many times he felt like he wasn't and had some selfish tendencies as well :') Compared to his somewhat reckless little brother Kalmar, Janner is very much the 'planning' type of person and prefers to think a lot before acting on something.
3) What makes them one of your favourites?
I seem to connect with Janner a lot. He's just so.. authentic and human.. and.. a thoughtful soul like me hehe :') I'm not exactly sure why except that when I first read the series, Janner was the one who really resonated with me the most. So I think that is why he is one of my favourites <3

After a quick Google search - that series looks great! Clicked and added to my reading list.
Janner sounds lovely! A brave, self-aware person who puts others first? You're right, I can definitely see those qualities and many more amazing ones in you. 😛
Thank you for sharing with me! (And for giving me my next, binge-worthy series)

1) Who is one of your favourite literary characters?
One of my favorite literary characters is Basil Hallward from The Picture of Dorian Gray.
2) What are some of their traits and/or quirks?
Basil is kind, loving, and a great artist. He has a sensitive nature and truly wants the best for Dorian. He is skeptical of the influence Lord Henry is leaving on Dorian because he doesn't want Dorian to lose the good qualities he sees in him.
3) What makes them one of your favourites?
He is one of my favorites because he is perceptive about people -- able to see their good and bad qualities. He is also a great contrast against Dorian's vanity and Lord Henry's superficiality. He sees the best in others and is not afraid to look beneath the surface, which is why his portraits are able to portray his sitters with precision and beauty. I truly loved him whenever I first read Dorian Gray. 😊
I love these kinds of threads, so thanks for these great questions!
