kindness
What’s a small act of kindness you wish you were shown or were once shown, that you’ll never forget?
What's an act of kindness you would want to perform for someone at the age that you were at that time?
write away!!
@zealousGrace5023 I always think people are so kind when they just hold the door open for you at say a restaurant or just the store. I always try to do this, especially for older people!
@fruityPond7887 I love that too and love to do it for other people as well
it's small but wonderful thing
@zealousGrace5023 It's the little things that we remember the most! <3
For me the driver in front of me paid for my toll on a highway one day and it was like wow what a sweet gesture. Small but I loved it. It renewed my hope in people.
I paid for the person behind me in a drive through a couple times.
Another thing I do is place coins on steps of buildings in big cities. I see alot of homeless people wandering by and I feel if those coins are collected by someone in need and can purchase something small like a coffee maybe I renewed some hope for them.
I think it's the little things in life that really make a difference. It doesn't have to be a big gesture to make a difference in someone's day.

Someone once held the elevator door open for me when I was in a huge airport trying to get to a connecting flight; it was a small act of kindness in itself, but it may have made the difference in me making my flight that day.
This experience in particular taught me to remember that I really have no idea what someone may be dealing or struggling with on a given day.
@sereneSunset26 its honestly such a bizarre and and amazing thing how a small act can have a monumental effect on a situation for someone
@zealousGrace5023
Exactly.
Which is why sometimes I wonder if our lives really aren't a part of some tapestry that is constantly being woven into new connections.
@sereneSunset26 i think they are

As a hospital volunteer I see lots of acts of kindness especially in the Emergency Room. I think seeing nurses and doctors tend to patient needs even when the patient are sometimes uncooperative inspires me to strive for that type of understanding and kindness in my own life.
Something I want to do nowadays in terms of kindness is learning how to give people compliments and brighten up their day through talking with them.

My sister telling me she loved me, sees me, and will always try to be there for me.

I like baking quite a bit, sometimes I'll bake stuff and secretly give it to my neighbors with like a sweet note attached. So, maybe that.
