Any tips on writing supernatural characters?

A current project I’m working on has a lot of vampireish things going on, and there’s a gryphon- a lot of supernatural characters in all. I just need help with some of the small things, like giving these characters personalities besides being divine.

they are also kinda cocky don't you think? like some are more reserved and some are goofy but most *** characters are cocky asf
