Any writers?
I've been trying to start writing a book I've had an idea for for a while now, but I have no idea where to start. Any writers here with advice on this?
@Airionne
Id encourage you to first brainstorm and write down your ideas, then you can flesh it out and see what kind of book you wish it to be 💜💖

Hey!
My advice to you would be to brainstorm and write but if you feel spontaneous and are having random bursts of ideas I would suggest write those down and forget about structure for the first draft.
Good Luck ♡
@CherryRed21 Yes this is good advice!! I'm always getting new ideas but I often forget to write them down.
One of my biggest struggles is keeping the story as close to my original vision as possible. Even though I get a lot of (what I think are) great ideas, I'm worried these ideas just come from excitement and wouldn't actually move the story in any meaningful directions.
Just create the most random thing, sentence, event, or scene you can think of and build off of that. It works a lot of the time. Except for "The bicycling hippopotamuses bicycled in the bicycle lane.". That one doesn't seem to work, I've tried it
