6 Years long relationship

It's hard, especially after being in a relationship for 6 years, to even get through the motions of day to day life, let alone figure out how to get over someone you still love. From my personal experience, and this is not a long term solution, but whiskey and few good friends every Friday and Saturday night for the first three months after the end of my 7 year relationship got me through the rest of the week. I think women have much healthier coping mechanisms than men for breakups but it's helpful either way to talk about how you're feeling, or more accurately, how sh***y you feel. I didn't want to be alone at all right after my breakup so I did everything to avoid going home. If you need someone to talk to, even just to distract you from thinking about her, I'm here for you. It'll get better.
