Advice Needed

I've been with my boyfriend for about 5 years off and on. We've been through a lot and I do love him. This fall 2018 School semester I will be moving to Sacramento for college and he threatens to break up with me if I do. Changing schools isn't an option and he refuses to reason with me. Should I just end it now and worry about my education and moving?
