Am I being selfish?

I broke up with my boyfriend because he didnt have time for me. hes in college and im a senior in high school, he also lives kinda far, and i understand he might not have the same amount of free time he used to have before and that his life is different now. I still love him and he also still had feelings for me so we decided to try things again but taking it slow. But he never calls me, we barely text because he takes too long to reply, we barely see each other, last month i saw him once and i havent seen him again because hes busy.

I started self-harming not long ago and i told him i had no emotional support and he just said that he couldnt be there for me because hes busy.

I love him so much but i dont seem to be a priority to him. I understand he has his studies but i think i deserve some type of attention he doesnt give. I believe that if we cant see each other we should at least use face time right? But whats the point? hes always busy.

Hey I'm in a very similar situation except I'm the boyfriend who is way always busy. I kept putting school and work first even when her mental health problems started to worsen. I knew I should have been doing more but just felt compelled to keep focused on school and avoided helping. Now she's taking time by herself and now I just wish I did everything for her while I had the chance. He may not even fully comprehend that you need him right now even though he wants to. What I wish we did was sit down and have an honest conversation about how both our lives were at the time and that we encouraged each other to share what we thought we couldn't. It's a hard time for both of you in different ways but just try and remind yourself about when it wasn't and just know it will get back to that again someday. I hope this helps you :)
