Angry
I was married for 20 year and we have two beautiful daughters together. We have been apart for a couple years now and our divorce got finalized this year. Even tho we have been apart, I have included my ex into my home and everything that deals with our children. This past July he started dating a new girlfriend who is actually a mom of one of my daughters friends. Since then he has cut me out totally. This includes any contact dealing even with our children.
I am having a very hard time with it. We are suppose it co-parent. That is not possible in anyway without communication. My heart is broken. I’m angry most days now. This has also but mental strain on me and both my daughter.
don’t know how to let go of the anger and very hurt
You have every right to be angry!! Men can be douches
if the new situation is hurting his daughters, he should care. it’s possible that she has only brought it up with you and not him. but if it’s affecting everybody negatively, something needs to be sorted out. regardless of whose fault the lack of contact is (either his or his new girlfriend’s) it needs to be addressed for everyone involved. whoever he’s dating needs to be okay with his entire situation, especially his kids and co parenting. you have a right to be angry, but when you talk to him (because you need to) make sure to keep it majority fact based, and make sure he has the daughters in his best interest.
