Being with a Narcissist
I met this guy in university. At first, he seemed really charming. A popular and sociable person till I got to know him deeper. Something in me kept telling me he is different, something in me feared him but I thought it was my anxiety. The more I knew him, the more problems were opened up for me. While outwardly, people were silently envious of me for being with someone like him but little did they know. He was not just a mean guy or a selfish guy or a bad friend. He was a psychopath/narcissist. Many times, he had made me cry in front of him but he showed nothing, no remorse, no empathy. I thought he was just concealing his feelings by being stoic and masculine. But he was manipulative and deceitful and tried to stir up drama from every part of my life that it ruined me into a crying mess only to have him blame it on me. It was the worst relationship I have ever been with anyone and he is one person that really made me question his existence and also humanity. He has no conscience and would lie his way through. Many people couldn't see past the facade. It was a very traumatic emotional experience for me, I am ashamed I was victimised in this situation. But to anyone who has had relationships with narcs and psychopaths as well, feel free to share your experiences with me. And trust me, you will heal from the wound even though it takes time.
