Breakup
I'm in a relationship and now he wants to breakup with me. I feel like he is loving and caring. But again he is telling that my personality should change. But I don't think there isn't anything wrong with my personality.
We have opposite personalities. Like.. He is extrovert and I'm introvert. I like my comfort zone with being alone and not going to the society. I don't think that I should follow what is the society telling. I don't mind what other people talking or doing. I think that if I don't do anything wrong, then I will be okay even though I didn't follow what others are saying. But he is not thinking that way. He is very sociable person. Every person in the society knows him and everybody are telling he is a good person. But according to others society , I have bad character because of my behaviour. I don't talk much. I like to be alone. But I'm not doing anything that harmful for others. He told me that I have a goast behaviour. But even though I'm like a Goast, I not doing anything wrong. I'm just being myself. He is telling we can't live in the society in that way, I should change I should open to the society. Most of time I don't understand what is the change that he wants. He just breakup with me. I don't know what to do. Should I change my everything according to him? Am I that much bad. Late time I am getting some harmful thoughts. So I came here looking for some help.
@ZehaJM I don’t think you should change for him. Love doesn’t demand change.
@ZehaJM I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this difficult situation. It's important to remember that you are valid and deserving of love and acceptance just as you are.
You know who you are and you accept yourself. He can be whoever he wants, but you’re right - He shouldn’t try to change you! So what if you don’t care for socialising with others. If you enjoy being by yourself and that brings you peace and happiness - Then we celebrate you! So many people are being inauthentic and chasing popularity and trying so hard to please others but they lose their own identity along the way.
So just be true to yourself. If he wants to be with someone more like himself then he can be free to do that. If you feel you could be happier being more sociable with others, then you can do that too if you want! But you should do it for yourself , for your own happiness, and not for any other reason.
Love & peace to you!
