Break up after 5 years...

Hi everyone! I'm having a realty hard time following a break up after 5 years. He broke up with me because he "wants to see other people" and discover "what else is out there" because I'm all "he's ever known." We've been together since we were 15 so I get where he's coming from but we've been at different colleges for 2 years now. If there was other stuff out there.. Wouldn't he have found it? Anyway that's beside the point at this step in things. we've been broken up for a week and I'm just really having a hard time adjusting. He broke up with me over text message too and that makes matters way worse for me I believe. I just need to figure out where to go from here and what to do.
