Breakup with a narcissist
Left a toxic relationship with a man who has anger issues, wants me to give him another chance and won't take no for an answer
@jve9983
Good for you for being able to take that initiative and make that decision, hoping it'll work out well for you
@jve9983
We’re glad for you that you made that decision for yourself!
He doesn’t get to demand a second chance. That’s not how it works. Stay strong in your beliefs and do what’s right for you.

Thank you! You would think it would be a no Brainer to leave that but I'm still having anxiety and worry about him. He does have ptsd from childhood abuse and major anger issues. About a month ago he told me he didn't want to live anymore.
When he got angry multiple times, he'd throw things, break things, punch holes in walls and say he hoped I died. But yet now that I've finally walked away for good I feel worried he might do something bad. I know it's not my fault but I can't help but feel anxious and sad.
Hi @jve9983 , I just want to let you know that even though a person has mental health issues, may be depressed, or reasoning for their behaviour , does not ever mean that their behaviour is OK.
It is really difficult to break up with someone, let alone a narcissist. I don’t know your situation fully , but Narcissists are great at manipulation. If you are having trouble with maintaining the boundary you have set between you, reach out to a listener. You may even find therapy useful at some point.
I am so glad you have taken the step to keeping yourself safe first, and may you find more and more happiness as new doors open for you.

Awesome...that's the safest and wise thing to do the earlier the better. "Prevention is better than cure"
