I had been with my ex for 14 months. This was my first serious relationship since my husband passed away due to cancer.

Everything was good for the first 8 months or so. Then I started with gut feelings that something was not right. He worked always lot and we lived 200 miles apart. Once he stopped working away and worked from home we saw more of each other.i then found out he was on so many dating sites and was have many dates and one night stands with loads of other women. I was heartbroken He wanted his double life hoping I would never find out. But I did and ended it. Now I feel really heartbroken

Well I feel like crap this morning. There must be something that takes the pain away.

Its like a constant pain in your stomach. Why should I feel this bad when I done nothing wrong. I miss his voice his hugs in fact I miss everything. But dep down in my heart I know there is no going back. Wish I could sleep until the pain went. Or maybe need the men in black to eliminate things from my mind.

I was married for 14 years. Three kids. My now ex was in the military. He was deployed to Iraq. I found out he was cheating on me the entire time while he was in Iraq for 1 1/2 years. I was told by a counselor not to call him on it and play it cool until he got back. Well he got back and continued to cheat. I told him I knew and he denied it. I then showed him proof of why I knew. He said sorry. I forgave him. But then three months later he abandoned me and my kids. He went to a part with friends and never returned. He was Mia for 3 months. No child support. I worked full time and had to find a way to pay for day care for my youngest. I ended up getting evicted from our apartment and our joint account which we have automatic payments for bills was now overdrawn in the thousands. He changed to a different bank as soon as he abandoned us. So all my paycheck was gone towards the bills we had.

To me he's no war hero! He was in Iraq and sleeping around with 3 women that I know of, he was not fighting for freedom, he was fighting to fulfill his "needs".I divorced him. I now have court ordered child support and he's behind $10,685. Oh, plus he was discharged from the military.

How's that for a "war hero".

Sounds like you really kicked him into touch. There is life after cheaters I know that. Mine was cheating all way through our relationship with God knows how many women.

I just blew my top couldn't stay calm and now thinking I should have done. Too late now. Just makes you lose all trust in men.

Hey,Just wanted to share some empathy here because I understand you a 100%. Also just left a relationship in which my gut feelings were SCREAMING during 2,5 years and just came to realize that afterwards- kept thinking i was paranoid or it was in my head (and he made me feel this way as well whenever i confronted him); I still love him as well and miss him terribly- and know there's no way back at all. I deep down understand your pain. So if you wish to keep sharing I'm around and would be glad to offer mutual help in these tough times. Today I felt very much like crap as well, missing him and all.
