Counting the days
We broke up two months ago, due to him not wanting a girlfriend, meanwhile our 1 year relationship was extremely good. So much love, laughter and respect. I never saw it coming, no signs at all. I guess he thought it was getting too serious.
Now, I know he’s out there on the dating apps & trying to get girls into his bed.
I on the other hand, have been processing and dealing with this break up the best I could. I work extremely much & try to better myself.
Because we had special connection, he wanted to be friends. I would’ve tried my best, but he doesn’t even text me anymore. He only congratulates me sometimes when i’ve achieved something, which is nice; but I don’t know how to respond. Also, there are a few of my clothes & stuff still at his place. He hasn’t asked me to pick them up yet; which I find weird somehow.
Last week, I saw he had changed his profile picture to a picture of him with a girl. It broke my heart, because I didn’t know her & he never had me as a profile picture. It doesn’t look like a “couple” photo, but still. They seem to be best friends, like I used to be; so I feel kinda replaced. Which is part of life, I am aware. As long as he’s happy.
I just don’t know how to deal with this. I still cry over him, I still grieve him; but I don’t know what to do other than to try to move on, I guess.
@raspberryDay6508It sounds like you are going through a difficult time after your break up. It is completely normal to feel sad and to grieve the loss of a relationship, even if the other person has moved on. It can be painful to see your ex with someone else, but it is important to remember that you are not alone and that it is possible to heal and move on.
One thing you can do to help yourself is to focus on your own well-being. This might mean taking care of yourself physically by exercising, eating well, and getting enough sleep. It can also mean taking care of yourself emotionally by practicing self-care, spending time with friends and family, and engaging in activities that bring you joy.
It is also important to set boundaries with your ex. If you are not ready to be friends, it is okay to tell him that. You can also let him know that you need him to return your belongings and give you some space. Remember that it is okay to take care of yourself and to prioritize your own feelings and needs.
