Emotionally detached ex
Was with a guy for 7 months most of last year. I had known him for 4 years. I knew getting into the relationship he had kids, one lived with him, his son. I did everything I could to assure and reassure them that was nothing like the ex wife. I loved, cared, respected, and more them both.
I took abuse (verbally) off his son too. I was also getting close to his son too. My then partner told everyone how incredibly happy he was with me. He told me he was serious about me too. And he was even planning our future with me.
Fast forward to 7 weeks ago, his son had a major life threatening accident. I was asked to be there to support my partner. I did. 4 days after the accident he came home to his place, where I was from the hospital. And starting to rant at me for no reason, I know his son had gone through this trauma, and he was going through ***. I had done nothing but to be supportive.
He turned into this monster (never see him this way before). And he ended it with me.
I love this man with all my heart. I wanted to be there helping him through.
He allowed me to stay that night, I felt uncomfortable and let me leave clothes at his. He owes me money too.
I know there is a none contact rule. But as of the circumstances I thought I'd show I was still there, still loved and cared.
Anyway, as time passed. He started to lie to friends that all I wanted to do was talk about the relationship. Any contact I had made, was asking how he and his son were. And he stopped me from having updates. And his messages started to become trivial. I thought it would be best to try the none contact rule, so I asked for my clothes back and my money. He said, "if that's how you want it." Eh? He ended it. It became more trivial after that too. He is a 47 year old man. And he told me he had sent his sister my messages. What a childish thing to do.
I have gone full none contact now. And told him to keep my stuff and the money. I miss him, and love him. I know he has mental health issues too. But to push me out completely after doing nothing.
I will never understand what happened. Nor do I feel we can get back together. But he hurt me bad, and continued to do so after the break up.
His son will think I left. When I didn't, I was pushed aside.

I understand that you must be in a significantly difficult time right now, but distancing yourself from him and that relationship/situation maybe the thing that can propel you to get over him and this situation. Wishing the best regardless~
